What is the Hy-Vee Mile at a Time Marathon?
- The Mile At A Time Marathon is a fitness challenge for any kid in grades K-6 to complete a marathon distance of
26.2 miles by walking or running one mile at a time.
How Much Does It Cost?
- The Mile at a Time Marathon is free, as is registration in the Hy-Vee Mile at a Time Marathon Finale at the Kansas Half Marathon in April.
How Do I Complete My Miles?
- Similar to the Library’s Summer Reading Program, this is a self-directed, family and community activity. The program officially
kicked off November 7th, but you can still sign up at any Hy-Vee and participate. You can go on family walks, run with a family member, friend, or participate
in a school marathon club, a school-sponsored program (if available), or community fun runs. Every mile counts
toward your total.
How Do I Register?
- Download the Hy-Vee Mile at a Time Marathon Club Registration Form below and take it to your local Hy-Vee by April 17th.
Are Strollers Permitted at the Hy-Vee Mile at a Time Finale?
- Unfortunately, no. Strollers are not permitted on the marathon course.
